It's Finally Happening...

... But not that.

We handed in our 90 day notice to vacate our apartment on 1/7, and it wasn’t until mid-march that the authority responsible for processing all our paperwork— whom start nothing until AFTER the notice has been given— finally handed off our paperwork to the new authority that would be accepting us.

And it wasn’t until yesterday that all the paperwork with the new authority and new apartment ceased to be a process of ever mounting hurdles, and we finally got a move-in date….

This whole thing went from exciting to months of frustration and prolonged sense placelessness. Important things that could have gotten done just didn’t due to the sense of “any minute, we’ll be moving”. Our things have been in some form of mid-move since January. Especially since March. The living room of current place looks like shoddy storage facility…. But we finally have our date; May 1st!

We will soon be over this transition, and into the renewal of self and surrounding!

Not much has been going on since. I worked up until 4/1, as we were under the impression this last part was going to be much quicker, and just sort of been enjoying the time off to craft. Course, my sewing machines have been packed since then, basically. I’ve had my digital arts to entertain me. 3D modeling, and photography. I even had the time to make a five-minute video, complete with background music, to explain very simply 3D modeling and my process so that I could enter some pieces into a competition for my LARP.

Things are going to be very busy around here, and quite soon, but I figured I would pop in and break the radio silence. Here is hoping the next post is all about an easy transition, and or some sort of adventure!
